Clipwright works entirely offline. No account, no ads, no analytics, and no internet permission at all. Your original video is never changed, moved or deleted.
What it does
- Trim with a preview, using sliders or precise 0.1-second steps.
- Split into equal lengths or at points you choose — and see, in words, what happens to the leftover piece.
- Crop or letterbox to portrait, square or landscape.
- Choose resolution and quality, with an estimate before you start and the real measured size afterwards.
- Queue exports, watch real progress, cancel anything and retry without starting over.
- Save or share results, or open them in any other player.
Honest about the hard parts
Video is device-dependent, and Clipwright says so rather than failing quietly. Some formats a particular phone simply cannot process; when that happens the app tells you which part failed and what to try. Compression is never guaranteed either — if a file was already squeezed harder than the quality you pick, the result can be larger, and Clipwright warns you beforehand and reports the measured truth afterwards.
